About

where it began...

I have always had a passion for stationery and all things paper, it has a certain smell and feel and is very tactile, if you know, you'll understand what I mean.

When my friends were buying shoes and make up, you could often find me in the local independent art and stationers shop, Andrews, sadly gone now, But I can still remember the smell of graphite from the pencils, the reems of brightly coloured paper and the printing ink.

I started my journey into the card industry working at Athena Galleries in Sheffield, at which point I was a sales assistant, I went back to study and a few years later I became a fully qualified Graphic designer, i started my own card company and then moved on to open what is now Frippery and Nonsense eight years ago and the rest, as they say is history.
